• Course Description: The key to the ultimate SAT score involves reading rate and comprehension, test familiarity, skill review, and timed practice.  Unfortunately, many high school students don’t have time to prepare for these important tests on their own.  This class is designed to walk students through the SAT test (English, reading, math no calculator and math calculator) and review the ACT as well.  The class focuses on the importance of the tests (statistics and various articles) and on the improvement of reading, delicately balancing challenging texts and independent choices to bolster a love and appreciation for reading beyond high school.  In addition, the class involves discussions with counselors in regard to college preparation and expectations.
